Each time our team members celebrate a birthday, LuxGive makes a direct donation to the charity of their choice. As our company continues to grow, so does the impact of our Gift of Giving program.

This year, we donated to over 25 causes dear to our team, making these special birthdays even more meaningful.

For LuxGive, fostering a culture of philanthropy at work meant going beyond company donations. With the introduction of Volunteer Days, it's now easier than ever for our team to get involved in our communities and lend a helping hand.

Montreal Team

Led by our CEO Nic, the Montreal team hit the streets with Santropol Roulant's Meals-on-Wheels program. After some prepping and packing, we set off to deliver warm, nutritious meals to residents with limited social autonomy. 

This Christmas, we're teaming up again to help pack, wrap, and deliver Christmas Baskets to those in need. Filled with gifts, clothing, and nourishing food, these baskets will help bring joy to families, new arrivals, and the elderly across the city.

Atlanta Team

1,000 miles away, our Atlanta team was busy pitching in at 'Our House', an NPO committed to breaking the cycle of family homelessness. 

After helping 'Our House' raise thousands with luxury travel, we jumped at the chance to volunteer in-person and see how funds were making an impact.

After a tour of the center, we got to work sorting new clothes, preparing birthday presents and cards for the kids, and put together a 'welcome kit' for a family moving into housing.

Nonprofits Supported

• Santropol Roulant is a community food hub dedicated to promoting social inclusion, food security, and community engagement through its flagship Meals-on-Wheels and urban agriculture programs.
• The Christmas Basket Project helps make holiday miracles happen by collecting and distributing hundreds of baskets filled with food, toys, and clothing to over 200 households across the city.
• Our House provides transformative care to end the cycle of homelessness for families in Atlanta, including a safe place to stay, medical care, early childhood education, and employment.

LuxGive teamed up once again with social impact leader Charity Miles after a successful fitness fundraiser in 2022. This incredible organization facilitates workplace giving by helping teams raise funds with each mile they bike, ride, or run.

This year, the LuxGive team clocked a staggering 22,000 miles across 7 countries in support of human rights and environmental conservation efforts. 

Nonprofits Supported

• Amnesty International is a global grassroots movement of over 7 million people fighting to protect and promote human rights worldwide and demand justice for those whose rights have been violated.
• The Canopy Project works to improve our shared environment by planting trees across the globe and reforesting areas at-risk of environmental degradation. Since 2010, the organization has planted tens of millions of trees worldwide.

This year, LuxGive introduced its Donation Match program, an initiative designed to help our team members make an even greater impact on the charities they champion. When a team member canvasses for a special cause, LuxGive matches each employee donation up to $1,000. 

Two of our inspiring team members stepped up to the challenge, including Head of Experiences, Ben Meakins. This superhero rode more than 1,500 miles across Quebec this year to help fight kids' cancer.

Fundraising Consultant Michael Helffrich also faced an extraordinary feat: running The Chicago Marathon. While sidelined by injury, Michael's efforts helped raise close to $3k for the American Cancer Society.

• The Great Cycle Challenge funds life-saving research to develop safer and more effective cancer treatments and find cures for all childhood cancers.
• The American Cancer Society is a leading cancer-fighting organization combating the disease through advocacy, research, and patient support, and improving the lives of those affected.

As leaders in the philanthropy travel industry, we believe we have a responsibility towards our global community. Each year, LuxGive commits a portion of its annual proceeds to help support emergency relief efforts across the globe. 

Earthquake in Turkey and Syria

The earthquake that struck Turkey and Syria in February caused unfathomable destruction, leaving many struggling to cope with widespread and devastating consequences. 

LuxGive joined in collective solidarity with the affected communities, pledging funds to support emergency relief, food, and shelter, as well as long-term recovery efforts.

• AKUT Search and Rescue Association is a volunteer-run Turkish non-governmental organization for disaster search and rescue relief. 
• AHBAP is a Turkish non-governmental NPO helping rescue efforts in quake-stricken provinces and providing humanitarian aid and assistance.

Wildfires in Maui

For many of us with friends or colleagues in Hawai'i, the catastrophic Maui wildfires hit especially close to home. Hundreds were killed or displaced in one of the worst state disasters in history and widespread damage wreaked havoc on the island's natural, cultural, and economic resources.

LuxGive stepped up to support the people of Hawai'i, pledging funds to grassroots organizations helping provide immediate relief and long-term recovery.

• The Maui Food Bank is a critical pillar of support for the community, playing an essential role in providing sustenance and aid to those in need.
• The Hawai'i Community Foundation provides financial resources to support the immediate and long-term recovery needs of those affected by the devastating Maui wildfires.

Morocco Earthquake

Morocco's Marrakesh–Safi region was struck by a catastrophic 6.8 magnitude earthquake on September 8th. The natural disaster caused extensive damage, destroying historical landmarks, killing thousands, and impacting many more.

During a period of national mourning, LuxGive joined community efforts to support the region by pledging financial aid to humanitarian organizations on the ground.

• Doctors Without Borders delivers emergency medical humanitarian assistance to those affected by conflicts, epidemics, natural disasters, or deprived of access to healthcare.
• World Central Kitchen is at the forefront of disaster relief efforts, providing nourishing meals in response to humanitarian, environmental, and community crises.

Hurricane Lidia in Puerto Vallarta

Category 4 Hurricane Lidia made landfall in Puerto Vallarta this October, destroying homes, killing livestock, and leaving tens of thousands without food, water, shelter, or power. 

Our time volunteering at the Vallarta Food Bank showed us just how crucial community assistance is to the region. In the aftermath of the destruction, we pledged funds to provide emergency disaster relief and help Mexican families get back on their feet.

• The Vallarta Food Bank serves hot meals five days a week and delivers despensas to over 30 families bi-weekly. They also offer free English classes, job training programs, and medical aid, while displaced families have access to free shower and laundry facilities.
