At LuxGive, giving back means lending our hands and our time to our communities.
This year, our team dedicated 174 volunteer hours to causes across the globe, from the foothills of Calgary to the coasts of Italy.
Whether teaching the essential skills of literacy, supporting NICU families, or helping aging neighbors with labor they could no longer manage alone, each effort reflected our belief in our shared humanity.
Here are some of the ways our team put compassion into action in 2025:
⚾ Pitching In to Make Wishes Come True
Cindy (Concierge) - Montreal, QC
For Concierge Cindy, volunteering at the Point Wish Softball Tournament isn’t just an annual tradition—it’s a labor of love three decades in the making.
Founded by her husband and friends, the tournament is the largest and longest-running private event supporting the Make-A-Wish Foundation of Canada.
Inspired by the philanthropic legacy of Roger and Geraldine Doucet, the event has gone on to raise nearly $2 million, granting wishes to children facing life-threatening illnesses.

“Over the years, I’ve done it all—setup, teardown, working concessions,” Cindy shared. “But the most meaningful moment always comes on the final day.”
That’s when a chosen wish child arrives in a limo to a hero’s welcome: celebrated with cheers, gifts, and a showering of love. Thanks to a private fund created by Cindy’s close-knit group, the child and their family also receive handpicked surprises tailored just for them.
“Their reactions are absolutely priceless. It’s those moments of pure joy that remind me why we do this year after year.”
🍇 A Labor of Love for Elderly Neighbors
Ilia (Reservations Specialist) – Isola del Giglio, Italy
On a remote island off the coast of Italy, Reservations Specialist Ilia returned home to take part in a cherished community tradition: the annual grape harvest.
Each year, neighbors gather before sunrise in the village piazza to help aging residents bring in the harvest from mountaintop vineyards, accessible only by foot.
What followed was two days of hard labor: navigating steep terrain, carrying crates of grapes, and hiking back up the mountain with every load. But for Ilia, it was a labor of love.

“It is grueling, but incredibly satisfying. Two days that leave me aching in my body for a week, but joyful in my heart until next year’s 4 a.m. coffee in the piazza.”
For elderly residents whose bodies can no longer manage the climb, the help means more than words can say. The ritual becomes a bridge between generations, traditions, and neighbors.

🧸 Caring for Families Close to Home
Jonathan, Matt, Emily, and Ethan (BDR Team) - Atlanta, GA
In a warehouse just outside Atlanta, LuxGive’s BDR team rolled up their sleeves to support Helping Mamas, a nonprofit delivering baby essentials and period products to families who need them most.
For Head of BDR Jonathan, the day was about more than just organizing diaper boxes and sorting baby clothes—it was about community.
“Sorting baby clothes and packing diapers might seem simple,” Jonathan reflected, “but knowing those items would soon be in the hands of families who truly need them made the work feel meaningful.”

Together, the team helped process hundreds of donations, turning piles of supplies into care, comfort, and relief for parents facing hardship. The work was a powerful reminder of the ripple effect of small actions.
“The most rewarding part was coming together as a team and seeing firsthand how much impact even small actions can have. We left knowing that our time directly supported parents and children in the community where many of my team members live.”
🍼 From the NICU, With Love
Elizabeth (Head of Fundraising) - Miami, Florida
When Elizabeth volunteered with ICU Baby, she stepped into a world defined by courage, tenderness, and connection.
The Florida nonprofit supports families with babies in the Neonatal Intensive Care Unit (NICU), providing financial, emotional, and informational care during one of life’s most vulnerable chapters.
Elizabeth volunteered to support the ICU Baby’s annual Celebration of Miracles Gala. What she gained was a deeper understanding of the tireless work that fuels community fundraising.
"Working for a travel consignment company, we’re often on the receiving end of donation requests, but volunteering allowed me to experience firsthand the immense effort and strategy that goes into securing those donations.”
The night offered something even more meaningful: the chance to stand alongside NICU moms, dads, and grads.
“This community is nothing short of extraordinary,” Elizabeth shared. “Their unwavering strength makes an overwhelmingly difficult experience feel more manageable, reminding us that we are never truly alone in this challenging but rewarding journey."

Our Gift of Giving program turns birthdays into moments of generosity by empowering our team members to support a cause of their choice.
In 2025, we made 45 birthday donations on behalf of our team. From pediatric care and animal rescue to mental health support and humanitarian aid, these stories reflect the deeply personal connections behind each act of giving.

❤️ Advocating for Preventive Care
Hannah Sides (Reservations) - Nashville, TN
When Hannah’s father underwent unexpected open-heart surgery in 2023, it came as a profound shock to her family. What began as a routine annual check-up quickly turned into a life-saving intervention—and a powerful reminder of the importance of preventive care.
In honor of her birthday, Hannah chose to direct her Gift of Giving donation to the American Heart Association, whose mission to promote heart health and early detection resonates deeply with her experience.
“My dad’s condition was discovered during a routine physical—an appointment that ultimately saved his life. Organizations like the American Heart Association play a crucial role in promoting preventive care. Prioritizing regular check-ups and heart health awareness can make all the difference.”
By supporting the AHA, Hannah hopes to raise awareness, encourage early intervention, and help more families receive the life-saving care that made all the difference for hers.
🐾 Honoring Illy and the Power of Second Chances
Meghann (Head of Finance) - Montreal, QC
Meghann’s donation to Animatch was inspired by a special companion in her life: her adopted dog, Illy.
At eight years old, Illy embodies everything Meghann cherishes about pet adoption: unconditional love, loyalty, and the joy of second chances. Her donation honors not only Illy but every rescue dog her family has welcomed over the years.

Based in Quebec, Animatch works tirelessly to rescue, rehabilitate, and rehome dogs in need, ensuring each pup receives the care, training, and love required to thrive in their forever home.

❤️🩹 Rebuilding with Heart
Jennifer (Concierge) - Atlanta, GA
When Hurricane Helene devastated Western North Carolina this year, it struck a place Jennifer has loved since childhood.
That’s why she chose to support BeLoved Asheville, a grassroots nonprofit dedicated to caring for the community through food access, housing support, healthcare, and racial equity initiatives.

⛑️ California Wildfires: Supporting First Responders and Families
In response to the devastating wildfires in California, LuxGive directed support to frontline relief organizations serving families and communities where the need was greatest.
Our donations went to the Los Angeles Fire Department Foundation—providing critical equipment and resources to first responders—and the California Community Foundation’s Wildfire Recovery Fund, offering displaced residents housing, financial assistance, and essential mental-health support.
